Prof. A.M. Rawani

Director, National Institute of Technology, Raipur.

Dr. Rawani is Director of National Institute of Technology Raipur (CG). He is basically a Mechanical engineer, received his M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management from I.I.T. Kharagpur and Ph.D. in Strategic Management from I.I.T. Delhi. He has about 40 years of teaching/research and administrative experience of educational institutes. 

Dr. Rawani has published about 150 research papers in International/National Journals and International Conferences. Recently, he has co-authored a book titled ‘E-Revolution in Indian Higher Education with COVID-19’. This book addresses various issues in the higher education sector that have arisen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Dr. Rawani has produced eight Ph.D. under his supervision and is currently supervising two more candidates. He has delivered invited lectures in more than ten countries. His areas of interest are Strategic Management, Flexible Systems Management and Quality Management in education.

He has served many times as member and Chairperson of peer team of NAAC and NBA.

a. Conferred with ‘Dainik Bhaskar -Shiksha Samman Award’ from honorable Governor of CG on 21st May 2022 for extra ordinary contribution in the field of education.

b. Conferred with ‘Fellowship Award’ by Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai in 2018.

c. Conferred with 'International Corporate Leadership Award in field of Education' at Bangkok in January 2015 from Economic Growth Society of India. 

d. Conferred with “Star of Asia Award for Educational Excellence’ in April 2014 by Economic Growth Society of India.

e. Received ‘Honorary Fellowship’ from International Economic Development and Research Center, Hongkong in 2012. 

f. Conferred with 'Rashtriya Gaurav Award' in April-2010 by India International Friendship Society, India. 

g. Received ‘Best Case Award’ in GIFT CASE 2000 competition (executive category), organized by Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management.
