Dr. Kasturi S Vijaya Sekhar

Head, Statistical Cell, IIIT Hyderabad.

Dr Kasturi Srinivasa Vijaya Sekhar has joined IIIT Hyderabad in the year 2005 and currently working as Head, Statistical Cell. He was also part of Research Centre for eGovernance (RCeG) at IIIT Hyderabad. He got his Ph.D. from Dr B R Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad in Public Administration discipline in the year 2015. He was earlier associated with the Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) [2004], Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) [2002-2003] and ICRISAT [1996-2001].

His research interests include Public Policy, electronic Governance, mobile Governance and ICT for Development. He has also Post Graduation in Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A in HRM), Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) and Master of Public Administration (M.P.A).

He presented over 30 research papers at International and National Conferences/Seminars and published two research papers in reputed Journals. He is the recipient of Best Paper Award for Measuring Sustainability in eGovernance Projects in the year November 2014.

He has edited and co-edited five books for eGovernance fraternity (i) Digital Empowerment (ii) Leveraging Technology towards Digital Transformation (iii) Digital India in Action (iv) Envisioning Digital India and (v) Compendium of eGovernance Case Studies.

He is a Life member of Computer Society of India [CSI] and recipient of the coveted ‘CSI National Service Award’ for his significant contribution to eGovernance in the year 2012.
