Dr. Sohan Chitlange is presently working as Principal & Professor @ Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research, Pimpri, Pune. He has around 22 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He is actively associated with various professional bodies. Presently he is Chairman Board of studies, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Savitribai Phule Pune Univeristy (SPPU), Member Academic council SPPU, Member Research and Recognition committee SPPU and Nanded University, Member BOS Amravati University, Associate Secretary, APTI (National), EC member, Association of Unaided Private Pharmacy Colleges, Maharashtra. Under his leadership, D.Y.Patil Pharmacy, Pimpri has achieved many milestones, to name a few, the institute is accreditated by NAAC “A” Grade with 3.29 CGPA, NBA for a period of 6 years, ISO 9001:2008 Certified, 2(f) 12(b) status from UGC, Ranked in Top 50 colleges of India by NIRF, consecutively for last four years, “Best college Award 2018” by SPPU, Utkrishta Shikshan Sanstha Award by AICTE 2020 and Best industry linked academic institute by AICTE-CII survey 2019 and 2020. He is a recipient of “Best Principal Award 2018” by oriental university, Indore and “Best Principal Award 2019” by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune under professional category and recently being declared Best Principal Award 2020 by APTI, India.
